I was surfing random LJ's last night and found a link to a dress-up game that was right up my alley...

I love films, and I also enjoy parodies. Therefore, the following site meets those needs perfectly:

Rob Hilton's pointed comments on the films are wonderful, and I think people who like the films he mocks will also be amused.

Examples this way )
Click the link, find a film, and (hopefully) enjoy.

Since I was reminded of it...

When I was still a lurker and not an active LJ poster, I wandered around the blogs of people I found interesting (still do!). And one day, while examining [info]black_hound 's blog, I came across a link to the following website:

http://zotz.x0.com/000.html

Click on the link and then on any of the ones under the heading "Blessings of UKRN" (which stands for UK Royal Navy, as it took me weeks to figure out). Then prepare to be amazed at how damn good this person is.

Sadly, some of the pictures that were once there are gone (some the stuff on the first page took their place, for reasons I don't get). And there is an unfortunate lack of Archie pictures. Even stranger, there's a Harry Potter section on the site (right above UKRN), that not only features a LOT of Harry/Young Riddle (WHY???), but also has, on the last page, a picture of Riddle that looks uncannily like...well, look for yourself (the second to last pic);

http://zotz.x0.com/plop/3.html

So either a) Riddle was a member of the King's Navy before he went to Hogwarts, or b) the artist seems to find connections between Archie and Riddle, which makes NO sense.

At any rate, these pictures are as fantastic as [info]black_hound's own work, which can be found here;

So there's some artistic viewing pleasure for your weekend. I hope I didn't waste people's time with this.

I am Officially Insane

It has become VERY clear to me that my plot bunnies have a secret source of crack that they have been hitting rather hard recently. There is no other way to explain the following insanity.

Let me explain; I have recently discovered a new Fandom. It's an anime/TV show called Hellsing. It's about vampires (which I really like) battling Nazis. My favorite character is the lead, Alucard, who looks extremely hot and (in the English dub) has the sexiest voice EVER.

Naturally, I would love for Ioan to be part of this, but all the big parts are taken already (and to be honest, Alucard's voice is perfect as is; Ioan's Welsh accent might be out of place). Anyway, I apparently lost my mind last night...

And This is How I Spent my Day...

Thursday was horrible, and so I decided to unwind today by looking around LJ for Ioan stuff.

I found (and joined) two new communities; [info]ioan_daily  and [info]ioangruffudd . I started with the former site and looked at every single entry they had. That is correct. EVERY SINGLE ENTRY.

And the result? 112 new photos for my collection.

I'm a little afraid to go to the other site now.

Ioanites, go join the community! It's got lovely pictures, most of which are from the ex-website Ioanonline.

(I should probably warn you, the following is NSFW).

While surfing the internet for Ioan stuff a long time back, I came across the best essay I have ever seen (and will probably ever see) on Ioan's career. A Ioan fan (I don't want to call her a Ioanite, because I don't know if she would consider herself one) who lives in LA got to see him  in person after a preview screening of "Amazing Grace".  First off, her description of him kicked off my cuddle reflex;

“After the screening, there was a Q&A with the lovely and talented Mr. Gruffudd.  Details: He's tiny and delicate and extremely pretty, all huge eyes and dark curls and long legs, with itty bitty wrists and hips and shoulders.  Nice eyelashes.  He could stand to eat more.  Or just eat, period.”

Secondly, she decided to spend the month until "Amazing Grace" came out properly watching Ioan movies and reviewing them (she called it National Gruffudd Appreciation Month, which I think needs to be put into practice on a regular basis). The results of those reviews were the essay.

The list isn't complete; She missed a few movies. But she got the big ones. She tries to avoid spoiling the movies, and the essay is, in general, wonderful. Any Ioanite who wants to know what films they should see or avoid should read this.

And after this long set up...the link!! I apologize that I can't link directly; I just can't figure out how to do it.

Just to let you know, though...while she does provide a link to her reviews of the Hornblower series, those are a bit more tongue-in-cheek.
